Indiana Canoe Camping Trip Checklist
One of the things that I have been researching lately are
overnight camping trips in Indiana with a canoe. I have camped what seems a million times but
I have never really had to rely on the stuff in my pack to get me through the
night.
This summer I have some big plans of those is canoe camping,
hiking camping and biking camping. I
have camped on a biking trip in the past and It is very similar, but with canoe
camping you have to make sure that you are prepared for the worst case scenario
like tipping your canoe.
I decided to put together a list of the gear that you need
to bring when you are planning an Indiana overnight canoe camping trip.
- Small Tent
- Tarp
- Knife
- Fire starter
- Sleeping Bag
- Cooking Kit
- Utensil Kit
- Toilet Paper
- Rope
- Extra Set of Clothes
- Rain Gear
- Ziploc Bags
- Aluminum foil
- First Aid Kit
- Flashlight
- Tape
- Basic fishing gear
- Compass
- Map
- Toothbrush/Toothpaste
- Light Food
- Water
- Bug Spray
Those pieces of gear should give you more than enough to
meet your needs while you are on your adventure. Remember, this list is only enough for a
couple nights so enjoy yourself and if you have anything to add just leave a
comment and let me know.
