17 Essential Pieces Of Indiana Hunting Gear
I have been going on this trip for the past 12 years and have learned over those years that preparation is everything. I will be about 40 from a Wal-Mart, so running to the store to pick up a missing piece of gear is out of the question.
I started compiling a list of all the things that I would need while I was gone and wanted to my list with you. Hunting with my grandfather and my dad is one of the greatest trips that I take all year. I’m always jumping out of my skin to get down there.
So here we go, here is a list I highly suggest.
17 Essential Pieces of Indiana Hunting Gear
1. Warm Clothes
2. Water Resistant Boots
3. Water Resistant Gloves
4. Light Thermal Socks
5. Scents
6. Whistle
7. Compass
8. Topo Maps
9. Good Sharp Knife
10. Basic First Aid Kit
11. Snake Bite Kit
12. Rubber Elbow Length Gloves
13. Spare Ammunition
14. Flashlight
15. Snacks
16. Water
17. Sounds/rattles
Now I’m sure there are a few things that I may have missed and there are a few things that you may not need, but I never leave on an Indiana whitetail deer hunting trip without any of these things.
Some are for my safety, some are for my comfort and the rest is so that I can bag the biggest deer possible. Honestly, I have a blast just going through my stuff and getting all ready.
